Sankranti was celebrated on 10th Jan 2025 in school.
Children looked super cute in their ethnic clothes. Children sang songs to thank all the elements, plants and animals.
Children chanted the Surya Gayathri and paid their homage to Sun God for his bounty.
Children expressed their gratitude to the Sun, animals, earth, wind, rain and all the elements. They performed Cow Pooja.
In a group discussion about the responsible behavior required to keep Earth a clean and happy place, children explored various ways to contribute positively to the environment.
In their enactment of the story of Gajendra Moksham, children of Grade M2 focused on the themes of devotion, surrender, and divine intervention, emphasizing the significance of the months of December and January in Hindu tradition, which are often associated with devotion to Lord Vishnu.
The day ended with children making colourful art work representing the spirit of Sankranthi.
The well appeased children went home to celebrate Sankranti at home!
