Onam was celebrated in the school on 13th Sep 2024.
Children came dressed in ethnic clothes and sang Krishna bhajans. The story of Onam was narrated to children with picture cards. Children enjoyed sequencing the various events of the story through the pictures, thereby aiding in visual learning. This was followed by a drama by the students of grade M3. They presented the story of King Mahabali Chakravarthy and Vamana, explaining the origin of the festival. This was followed by our well dressed dancers performing a Mohini-aattam to bring-in the feel of Onam!
Children made poo - kolam, which is rangoli with flowers. The activity of sorting the flowers by colours and making colourful patterns, was a rewarding experience.
Onam art activity and sweet distribution brought the day to a happy end!
