Janmashtami was celebrated in the school on 23rd Aug 2024.
Children came dressed as Gopas and Gopis. The celebrations began with children chanting prayers on Lord Krishna and proceeded to singing bhajans & songs. This was followed by a puppet show by the teachers depicting the story of Lord Krishna's birth.
An elaborate programme was put up by the children. Krishnas & Gopikas of grade M1 danced merrily to up-beat Krishna songs. Children of grade M2 enacted the story of Krishna's birth & children of grade M3 entertained everyone with a beautiful rendition of a Telugu song on Krishna and an energetic dance with fuid movements!
Home-made prasad was offered to Lord Krishna and then distributed to the children.
This was followed by a video-show of the story of Krishna's birth and his childhood antics. Children's snickers and cackles at Krishna's pranks were a treat to our ears!
The pot breaking ceremony followed. Children of each grade competed with each other joyfully in the pot breaking ceremony. The enthusiastic Gopas and Gopis who broke the pot were showered by chocolates!
Children of all grades made different art work to represent Lord Krishna.
The day was packed with celebration and a reminiscence of Krishna's love!
