Dusshera was celebrated in the school on 08th October 2024.
Dusshera celebrations were a joyous affair. The air was filled with the chanting of Devi Gayathri and uplifting bhajans sung by our little ones. Grade M3 children performed a captivating one-act play on Mahishasuramardhini, celebrating the triumph of good over evil. They showcased their talents through energetic rendering of 2 stanzas of the Mahishasuramardini stotram &presented the "Nava Durgas" in a delightful "dress-up & speak" session, embodying unity and devotion.
The significance of the 10 days of Dusshera and the worship of Devi was thoughtfully discussed, highlighting themes of victory and devotion. Home-made sweets were offered and joyfully distributed to the children, adding a festive touch to the celebrations.
Children participated enthusiastically in art activities, adorning Devi's face with various art materials. Their creativity shone through as they used paints, beads, bangles and glitter to create vibrant designs. This hands-on experience deepened their connection to the festival, allowing them to express their devotion while enjoying the joy of artistic expression.
